        報告人簡介: 

        Prof. Wei-xian Zhang is currently Professor of Environmental Engineering at Tongji University, and Director of State Kay Laboratory for Pollution Control.

        Prof. Zhang pioneered the research and development of the nanoscale Zero-valent Iron (nZVI) technology, published the first research on this topic in 1997 and conducted the first field experiment of in-situ remediation in 2001. Prof. Zhang has authored many highly cited publications on environmental nanotechnology with over 90 peer-reviewed publications and accumulative citations of > 10,000.

        Prof. Zhang holds a Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University, and served as a tenured faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Lehigh University (Bethlehem, Pennsylvania). He received the CAREER award for outstanding junior faculty from US National Science Foundation. His research has been reported by over 200 Newspapers including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today and Washington Post, and featured on the covers of prestigious technical journals such as Environmental Science & Technology.
