報告内容: Bioprocesses take place in an aqueous environment which is affected by and affects the multiple weak acid/base systems that control pH. Currently integrated bioprocess and multiple weak acid/base models are being developed for a range of wastewater treatment applications including anaerobic digestion, biological sulphate reduction and the SANI system. In order to model, measure and control such integrated systems, a thorough understanding of the interaction between the bioprocesses and multiple weak acid/bases is required. This lecture examines the basic principles of such interaction on which modelling algorithms and measurement procedures are based, in particular the lumped parameter alkalinity and its measurement.

個人簡介

  喬治∙埃克默教授(George A. Ekama),南非開普敦大學 - 活性污泥理論的奠基人,南非科學與工程院院士,現任職于南非開普敦大學(University of Cape Town,簡稱UCT)國際著名的水研究組。負責生物污水處理工藝和模型的開發和應用。

  埃克默教授在使用生物化學、物理方法進行污水處理方面有近35年的研究應用經驗。在生物脫氮除磷工藝模型開發絲狀菌的污泥膨脹控制,二沉池的模拟和設計以及生物脫硫和厭氧消化方面一直站在世界學術的前沿。已經發表了200多篇的相關論文和許多專著,有些論文和專著被廣泛地引用。是環境工程領域中文章被引用最高的少數幾個教授之一。
